Big Brother Naija Season 8 housemate, Adekunle, has emerged the first Head of House (HoH) in the reality TV show

As is the show’s tradition, the housemates had to compete in a special game to decide who would lead the house for the week. This competition is critical as the winner gets bragging rights as the first-ever All-Stars HOH, immunity, and his private lounge.

Adekunle was the star of the first Big Brother Naija All Stars head of house games, showcasing his exceptional memory skills and completing the challenge in an impressive 12 seconds. As a reward for his remarkable achievement, he earned the coveted title of Head of House, along with some fantastic perks for the week.

The housemates played a memory challenge, which involved them memorizing 20 items under several boxes in 60 seconds, then dancing to music played by Big Brother.

Afterwards, they were asked to select an envelope containing pictures of items from a basket, of which they then had five minutes to find the item and its other pair.

Each housemate had 60 seconds to open 20 boxes filled with ten different items (two of each) and ten envelopes filled with pictures of the ten items arranged in the boxes. After opening each box, they memorised its content and noted which containers had identical items underneath them. After the first round, Biggie played any song of his choice, and the housemates danced for however long he chose.

Housemates initially struggled with the rules of the game with some utterly mixing things up completely so Biggie had to simplify things over and over again.

By the end of the game, Biggie announced Soma, Alex, Cross, Ike and Adekunle as the top five from the HOH game, with the latter winning by 12 seconds.

After five grueling hours of playing the game of diversion and memory individually, Adekunle Olopade, popularly known as Bad Boy Deks, won the title With the best completion time of 12 seconds on the clock.

His outstanding performance granted him Immunity for the entire week, giving him a sense of security within the house. Additionally, Adekunle gained access to the exclusive Head of House floor, residing in the luxurious penthouse on the mezzanine level.

As one of the features of winning HOH, Adekunle gets to pick four BFF’s who get to share some privileges he enjoys as HOH, of which he selected: Soma, Seyi, Cross and Frodd.

Adekunle emerged as the first head of house, a feat he also achieved in the Level Up season. However, Alex, Cross, Ike, and Soma received special recognition from Biggie for their exceptional performance.

The Black Envelope game

Big Brother paused the HOH game and called all the contestants to the arena as he instructed them about the Black Envelope game.

Housemates were asked to look for a black envelope, which is believed to have been placed at strategic places around the house while they were in the arena.

Contestants were to check everywhere except the Head of House floor, Arena and the Diary room. The rules included finding only one and not more than one each. Once found an envelope, they were to sit out the rest of the game after they find one. The housemates had only five minutes to do so.

After receiving the instructions, they returned to the house and waited for the sound before they commenced searching. However, some contestants were disqualified from playing the game because they flaunted the rule to wait for the sound before searching, these housemates were Princess, Tolanibaj and Kiddwaya.

Mercy was the first person to find a black envelope, then drama ensued as Seyi and Frodd arguably found the second black envelope at the same time.
